proftpd-mod-ldap software package provides Versatile, virtual-hosting FTP daemon - LDAP module, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install proftpd-mod-ldap
proftpd-mod-ldap is installed in your system.
Make ensure the proftpd-mod-ldap package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep proftpd-mod-ldap *
You will get with proftpd-mod-ldap package name, version, architecture and description in a table
